I am back from Houston and wow was it a great visit. The whole weekend was very nice and relaxing. I arrived after the longest delays and airport craziness ever experienced (and I've traveled quite a lot so thats saying something) but once I got there smooth sailing.
Friday morning started with a quick blood draw that revealed awesome counts overall. WOOOHOOO. I then ended the morning with a huge needle jabbing my hip, although it was the fastest bone marrow biopsy yet! It was so fast that it was way to early for our usual margarita pain killers (boo!!) The results have yet to come in but lets hope that the short arm has started to grow on my 5th chromosome. I keep cheering them on. The rest of the weekend was nice and easy and recovery from the hip jab!
Monday we met with my Dr for a check in and he loves the way everything is going and is keeping me on the meds for now until he gets the biopsy back to see if anything is growing or not. Unfortunately I have been having some underlying cold/sinus infection so I am back on anti-biotics to strike it out. I'm looking for good immune boosting smoothies to gulp down. Anyone know of any good smoothie recipes out there? I love my nutribullet !
My next appointment isn't until December wooo hoooo. lets hope for no biopsy and that my little chromosomes have started to sprout a short arm.
