Its Day +7 and I wanted to share whats been going on so far!
Day +0 was a week ago and the day I got my transplant - it went easily but a fever happened overnight and that was not fun!
DAy +1 I was mostly exhausted from the night of fever but everything worked itself out and I took tons of naps. Still made it to exercise class!
Day + 2 - Just a "normal" day as possible in this place. My brother came into town for a week to visit and spend time with me!
DAy +3 nothing exciting this day - the days are getting pretty long!
Day +4 Major excitement = Exercise class and hanging with Harry all day. Oh and I was put on contact isolation - aka fun yellow gowns for anyone coming into my room as a precaution -
Day +5 still on contact isolation and mouth sores have begun. I don't think my tongue can get any bigger. It has ridges on the side of where it is trying to escape out of my teeth. (This is all a normal reaction from the chemo)
Day +6 lots of pain meds to deal with the mouth sores and large tongue, taking a lot of naps. Still made it to Exercise class and had a fun visit from Wilma. Ps painful mouth means milkshakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Day +7 According to the Dr's all is going as planned and there haven't been any suprises. My mouth is still sore and hurting. Just woke up from a long mid day nap and getting excited for BINGO tonight!!!
So now its a waiting game for my white blood cell count to come up because right now it is practically at 0! The Dr's say that the WBC count can start coming up around day +11 so wait wait wait I do.
