This past weekend was great! Ok. Ok. I know its already friday and why wasn't this post up earlier in the week but lets just be glad its getting up now, alright? I mean thank goodness its friday I am ready for this weekend to start already.
Lets look at some adorable pictures from last weekend when my parents came in. Man, are they awesome. They came in not only to just hang out with their coolest daughter ever but also to run the Philly half marathon! I am so freaking proud of them.
Last year we all ran it together and it was great. I decided maybe I would take this year off and catch up to them next year if I can and man did they do an awesome job this year! Kevin and I ran around the city cheering them on at a few different spots. It was incredible (and slightly dizzying) to watch all of the runners in the race. My cousin and her boyfriend ran as well so it was a huge family affair! I think Kevin and I will join them next year, as long as the weather is beautiful again!! Aren't they just the freaking cutest parents ever too.
Other than getting to spend an amazing time with my parents when they come to visit, I also get to eat like a king! After the race we walked all the way back to no libs and brunched at the delicious Jerry's Bar. The weather was so incredible we ate outside on their patio and had to turn the heaters off! This being my mom's third half marathon ( Total pro now!) she has concluded, along with myself and my dad, that taking a long relaxing walk afterwards is just what the body needs to recover. Anyways back to eating our way through the city we decided that Frankford Hall would be a great place to enjoy an outdoor dinner (maybe the last of the season) which always leads to an intense game of jenga!!
It's always sad to say goodbye but thanksgiving is so close that it wasn't too bad this time around! And here I am being a complete dork at the marathon and now I am feeling pretty proud of myself for creating this gif! (like really psyched!)
Happy Happy friday!!!!!!
