So now that my body has decided to be "normal" the rest of my life is turning upside down. Just kidding not my entire life but maybe just my backyard. Above is the picture of the beautiful weeping willow in my backyard. oh wait.... it isn't beautiful anymore it is broken, completely destroyed. Last week during the arctic tundra it toppled over right before midnight and I seriously thought the floor had fallen through below me. I thought something crazy had happened. Oh wait something crazy did. The most insane part is that when it fell it fell directly towards our house and missed the house by half an inch. Our backyard looked like a disaster zone for the rest of the week. But now its all cleaned up. It took the tree guys hours to clean up and I fell like it was all a lesson in life. Sometimes it feels like everything is falling apart or crashing down but eventually it will come back together and it will most likely look different but it will be just as beautiful.
Things have been crazy for me recently and now I feel like I can finally breathe again (like literally, I can go on a run and not get out of breathe at the end of the first block.)

ReplyDeleteJust " half an inch"? That's dangerously close! You guys were very lucky! If the wind were any stronger, it could've packed a bigger punch to your literally weeping willow, enough for it to hit your house. Did the tree show any signs of falling prior to the winter, or was it just because of the polar vortex? Either way, you guys take care!
